Squishcord compresses videos on your iPhone so they fit Discord’s upload limits. Compression happens entirely on your device. The app is free, and is supported by optional ads.
When you choose a video, iOS gives Squishcord access to only that video, through the system photo picker. Squishcord never sees the rest of your library.
If you share a video to Squishcord from another app, such as Photos, iOS passes Squishcord only that video.
The video is compressed on your iPhone. The compressed copy is kept temporarily in the app’s private storage, which iOS clears automatically.
If you tap Save & Open Discord, Squishcord asks for permission to add the compressed video to your photo library. This permission only lets it save videos, not read your library.
When you share a video, it goes to the app you pick, such as Discord, through the standard iOS share sheet. From then on, it’s handled under that app’s own privacy policy. Squishcord doesn’t see or keep a record of what you share.
Squishcord includes 3 free compressions a day. After that, you can choose to watch a short ad for 3 more. Ads are provided by Google AdMob.
So an ad is ready when you need one, Squishcord starts Google’s ads SDK and loads an ad in the background when you open the app. To show ads and measure how they perform, Google may collect data such as your device’s IP address, device and app information, and how you interact with ads. Squishcord doesn’t ask for permission to track you across other companies’ apps and websites, so ads aren’t personalised using your device’s advertising identifier.
If you’re in the European Economic Area, the UK or Switzerland, Squishcord asks for your consent through Google’s consent form before ads are shown. You can change your choice at any time in Settings → Ad Privacy Choices.

Your remaining compression allowance is stored only on your device.
Squishcord Unlimited is an optional one-off purchase that removes the compression limit and ads. Purchases are handled entirely by Apple through the App Store. Squishcord never sees your payment details. It only asks the App Store whether Squishcord Unlimited has been bought on your Apple Account, and keeps that answer on your device. If you have Squishcord Unlimited, Squishcord doesn’t load ads at all.
Your preferences, like your default upload limit, are stored only on your device and are deleted if you delete the app.
Squishcord doesn’t collect personal information from anyone, including children. Ads are provided by Google AdMob under the policies described above.
