Squishcord compresses videos so they fit Discord’s upload limits: 20 MB for free accounts, 50 MB for Nitro Basic and 500 MB for Nitro, or a custom size you choose in Settings.
There are two ways to compress a video:
Then pick your upload limit and tap Compress. When it’s done, tap Save & Open Discord, or use the share button to send it wherever you like.
Squishcord isn’t in my share sheet. Scroll the row of apps to the end and tap More, then turn on Squishcord (you can drag it nearer the front while you’re there). Squishcord only appears when you share a single video, not photos or several items at once.
Why is my video smaller than the limit? Squishcord sets a maximum size, not an exact one. Simple footage, like screen recordings, often compresses well below the limit. Turn on Quality Boost in Settings to use more of the limit for a sharper result.
Why did the resolution or frame rate drop? Long clips have less room per second of video. Choose Sharper to keep more resolution (it may drop to 30 fps), or Smoother to keep the original frame rate (the resolution may drop).
It says my video is too long. Very long clips can’t fit the limit at a watchable quality. Trim the video first, or pick a higher limit if you have Nitro.
How do I post to Discord? Tap Save & Open Discord to save the video to Photos and open Discord, or use the share button to send it straight to Discord.
How many videos can I compress? Squishcord starts with 3 free compressions. The allowance does not reset each day. Videos that already fit don’t count. After that, watch a short ad for each additional batch of 3, or get Squishcord Unlimited, a one-off purchase that removes the limit and ads for good.
It says it couldn’t load an ad. Ads need an internet connection, and VPNs or ad blockers can stop them loading. Check your connection, turn those off, and tap Try Again.
I bought Squishcord Unlimited on another iPhone. Open Settings and tap Restore Purchases, signed in with the same Apple Account. Unlimited also works with Family Sharing.
How do I change my ad consent? If you’re in the EEA, the UK or Switzerland, open Settings and tap Ad Privacy Choices.
Does Squishcord upload my videos? No. Everything happens on your iPhone. See the Privacy Policy.
